Patras Province was a province covering the western part of the Achaea Prefecture. Several parts do not recognize it as a province and are not used in addresses but as a region. The main places includes Patras, Kato Achaia, Ovrya, Rio and Chalandritsa. The Panachaiko mountains dominate the northwest, the Erymanthos to the east, the Skollis to the south, the Movri to the southwest and Mavros Oros to the west. The Pineios River flows to the south and several others including Tytheos, Parapeiros, Charandros to the north. It has a plain to the northwest, within Patras and between Erymanthos and Skollis. The largest city is Patras, its second is Kato Achaia.
